The French unit of ArcelorMittal (MT) has filed a lawsuit against three competitors in the U.S., alleging infringement of a U.S. patent for hot- and cold-rolled metal sheeting used for car bodies, MetalBulletin reported Monday.

The three companies named in the lawsuit are Wheeling-Nisshin Steel, a unit of Nisshin Steel Co. Ltd. (5407.TO); AK Steel Holding Corp. (AKS); and Severstal Dearborn, a unit of OAO Severstal
