USD/CNY steady midday on almost unchanged central parity. Pair last at 6.8267 vs 6.8271 late yesterday, trading in tight 6.8267-6.8273 range; "steady central parity dampens investors' trading interest while the macro economic data released earlier won't move the market much as they're largely within expectation," says Shanghai-based dealer at foreign bank, tips pair to trade in 6.8265-6.8275 band in afternoon. 1-year USD/CNY NDFs at 6.6188/6.8223 vs 6.6160/6.6200 yesterday. Fixing at 6.8272 vs 6.8273 yesterday.
